FFXIV Patch 6.3 Maintenance time confirmed with eight hours of planned downtime

Release date and countdown time for when FFXIV 6.3 patch maintenance starts and starts around here on PDT, EST, and UK GMT, and there are plenty of new features to expect for the Final Fantasy 14 update tomorrow.

Square Enix has shared the patch notes for the upcoming Final Fantasy 14 6.3 update. As announced by the game TwitterYou even have to release the update to participate in the Moogle Treasure Trove event.

While the Moogle Treasure Trove was a fun occasion, tomorrow everyone will be able to enjoy a slew of new additions and take part in activities like fighting Sofia again.

When does FFXIV patch 6.3 maintenance start?

The release date and countdown time for when the maintenance release and start of the FFXIV 6.3 patch update is 18:00 PDT and 21:00 EST on January 9, and also 02:00 GMT for the UK on January 10.

All the above hours are confirmed on Final Fantasy 14 NA website. Maintenance is suggested to run from 18:00 on January 9th until 02:00 Pacific Time on January 10th, which means that the servers must be down for eight hours.

In this case, the servers should be back online at 05:00 ET and 10:00 GMT for the UK on January 10th. As stated on the game’s website, “The Home World Transfer Service and Data Center Travel System will be suspended for 30 minutes before maintenance begins, and will not be available until maintenance is completed.”

Times are subject to change, however these are all hours advertised.

Final Fantasy 14 update new features

There are quite a few new features to enjoy when the FFXIV patch 6.3 maintenance update is out.

Called Gods Revel, Lands Tremble, the update “follows the Warrior of Light as they continue their quest alongside the mysterious Zero in the main scenario, and set out for Euphrosyne’s sanctuary in Myths of the Realm”. New missions have been added along with a new storyline, and you will be able to dive into the top of La Noscea.

Quality of life improvements also come as quest icons for objectives outside cities and open fields, but that’s only for quests added in 6.1 to 6.3. PvP updates have also been added, and PvP combat is entering Series 3 which will continue until version 6.4.
