Overwatch 2 Lunar New Year Release Date With Skins Available Now

When Overwatch 2’s annual 2023 Lunar New Year’s event will be released and the announcement is starting, there are two skins available now to get Twitch Drops.

Now we are all able to enjoy OW2 Battle For Olympus which has introduced some hero buffs and their techniques in its patch notes. This event is set to run until January 19th, so make sure to get all the Greek mythology-inspired skins and outfits before it’s too late.

While Battle For Olympus has delivered a lot of fun so far, next week we’ll all be celebrating Chinese New Year.

When will the Overwatch 2 Lunar New Year 2023 event release?

The Overwatch 2 Lunar New Year release date will be released starting on January 17th.

This comes courtesy of Blizzard’s Latest OW2 news. The Blizzard news article says that the celebration will continue until February 1st, while the roadmap previously said it will continue until February 6th.

Either way, they both agree it will start on January 17th. Similar to previous years, there are challenges to be completed to unlock rewards for free.

No celebration modes or challenges have been announced yet, but you can try to get some skins now.

How to get OW2 Twitch Drops skins

Before the Overwatch 2 Lunar New Year 2023 event starts, OW2 fans can grab the following Twitch Drops and skins as announced by employment On Twitter:

• Moira’s Roaring Lion Triumphal Posture
• Moira Dancer Mask (Legendary)

You need to watch Overwatch 2 Twitch streamers with Drops activated for two hours to get the mod, and four hours to get the legendary skin. Just so you know, the two hours for Victory Mode are not included with the four hours for getting Dancer Moira.

As for the Lunar New Year event itself, the only confirmed skin so far is Mei dressed as a bunny. This can be seen in the file Season 2 Trailer Available to watch on YouTube.
