However, the streaming giant is now testing the lite version of Amazon Prime. It is said that it will provide the same benefits, but its cost will be just Rs 999. The only thing that can upset customers about this is advertising. It is said that this plan will be offered at a lower price as it will be an add-on plan.
Amazon Prime lite testing first spotted by OnlyTech. According to the website’s report, its lite version is currently in beta testing, and is currently only made available to select users.

There is not much difference between Prime and Prime Lite. On the cheaper plan, Prime users will be able to get unlimited free standard delivery for two days instead of one. Apart from this, 5% cashback will also be given when you shop with Amazon Pay ICICI credit card for exclusive Prime offers and deals.
In addition to providing benefits on the Amazon Shopping site, Prime Lite will also include access to Prime Video. This means that you can stream all the exclusive content on the Prime Video app.

However, the plan is not ad-free, which means you’ll have to put up with commercials between your shows and movies. Moreover, the video playback quality will be limited to SD quality only. Content can be streamed on only two devices at a time which can include mobile phone or TV.
